Who we are
BuilderOne ("we", "us") provides construction management software for home builders, remodelers and contractors, and operates builderone.us. If you have any question about this policy or your information, email privacy@builderone.us.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you join the interest list or apply to the trade directory, we collect what you enter:
- Builders: name, company, work email, phone, what you build, projects per year, tools you use today, and anything you write about your challenges.
- Trades and suppliers: company name, contact name and role, email, phone, trade, counties served, licence number, years in business, insurance status, and any references you provide. If your application moves forward we also collect certificates of insurance and a W-9.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our host records standard request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page). If you consent to analytics or marketing cookies, we also receive aggregate usage and advertising measurement data. See Cookies below.
What we do not collect here
This website does not ask for payment card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers, or other government identifiers. Never send those to us by email or through a web form.
How we use it
- To contact you about BuilderOne — access, pricing, onboarding and a walkthrough.
- To review trade directory applications and confirm the documents on file.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To understand which parts of the site are useful, and to measure our advertising (only with your consent).
- To meet legal and record-keeping obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your details with unrelated companies for their own marketing. We do use service providers who process information on our behalf:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property. If our business is ever sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction; we'd tell you first.
Trade directory listings
If your company is listed in the BuilderOne trade directory, the business information you submit — company name, trade, counties served, business contact details, licence number, and whether insurance documents are on file and when they were last updated — is visible to builders using the platform. This is business contact information, not personal information about you as an individual, and it is the point of being listed.
A listing is not an endorsement. We show what documents are on file. We do not certify, recommend or guarantee any company's work, licensing or coverage. You can ask us to update or remove your listing at any time.
Cookies and similar technology
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We group ours into three categories, and you choose which to allow the first time you visit:

Analytics and marketing tags do not load at all until you accept them. You can change your mind whenever you like:
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their own settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
How long we keep it
We keep interest list and directory records for as long as we're in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Cookie preferences are stored for up to one year.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe — every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
- Access, correction or deletion — email privacy@builderone.us and we'll take care of it.
- Cookies — change your choices any time using the link above.
- Texts — we don't send marketing text messages. If we ever contact you by text about something you asked for, you can reply STOP.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example, residents of California and several other US states may request access to or deletion of their information and may opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. If you decline marketing cookies, we do not share information for targeted advertising. To exercise any right, email us at the address above.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and information is held with reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive personal identifiers through this site.
Children
This is a business tool and it isn't directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and if the change is significant we'll say so on the site.
